Deliberations to choose next TPCC chief continue
Party high command is reportedly holding meetings with a few seniors to decide the next president to head TS Congress
Hyderabad: Even as ball is in high command's court to finalise the next TPCC chief, consultations to find the successor to Uttam Kumar Reddy are being done again, but with select seniors.
AICC leaders B Raju and Krishnan Srinivasan have been dialing a few senior leaders and inviting them to a private hotel for further deliberations on this issue.
It may be noted here that AICC in-charge for Telangana Manickam Tagore had held this consultation exercise for over a week and collected opinions of nearly 200 party functionaries, which was submitted to AICC also.
With a clear split between juniors and seniors in the party on the next president to head the Telangana Congress, the party high command is learnt to have decided to gauge the mood of the party loyalists in case they take any decision.
Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy and Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy are the two frontrunners for the post.
