Demand to operate buses in rural areas

Parigi: Student unions SFI and NSUI took out a rally from Kodangal X Roads to bus stand here on Thursday. Students of neighbouring villages also took part in the rally. They protested in front of the bus depot complaining that buses are not being operated in rural areas, and that it is becoming difficult for them to come to colleges in the town. CI Nageshwar warned the leaders for provoking students during the strike.
SI Chandrasekhar questioned the activists how they could take out rally without permission. Meanwhile, former MLA Rammohan Reddy reached the spot and tried to pacify the activists. DSP Sridhar Reddy interfered and facilitated discussion between Depot Manager and students. AISF district president Chennaiah, NSUI leader Nagavardhan and others were present on the occasion.
