Deputy Jailor suspended in Nagarkurnool
The Deputy Inspector General of Prisons has suspended a Deputy Jailor of Manthani, who was working at Kalwakurthy jail on Thursday.
Nagarkurnool: The Deputy Inspector General of Prisons has suspended a Deputy Jailor of Manthani, who was working at Kalwakurthy jail on Thursday.
According to sources, Sudhakar Reddy, Deputy Jailor of Manthani, was attached to Kalwakurthy jail in Nagarkurnool district. However, there have been a lot of allegations and complaints against him that he was indulging in various illegal activities and extorting money from people by stopping transport vehicles.
Upon receiving the complaints, the DIG Prisons took cognisance of the issue and conducted a thorough investigation against the officer and after confirming that the officer had exhibited gross misconduct by assaulting a duty warden and was also involved illegal activities while performing his legitimate duties, the DIG had issued suspension orders with immediate effect. The DIG Prisons has also directed the said Deputy Jailor to not to leave his headquarters in Kalwakurthy until the departmental inquiry and disciplinary proceedings against him were not completed.
