Even kings never got their pictures engraved on temple pillars: MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy

Yadadri: Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy fired salvos on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for the engraving of the latter's face besides Telangana Rashra Samithi party symbol on pillars of Yadadri temple.

The Bhongir MP demanded the Chief Minister to tender apologies to all the devotees for disrespecting their religious beliefs. Speaking to The Hans India, Komatireddy said it was a shameful act and demanded to remove the engraved pictures of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, car symbol and pictures of various government schemes from temple pillars.

He asserted that even kings who constructed famous temples have never got their pictures engraved on temple pillars. He called upon religious organisations, intellectuals, democrats to condemn the act of the Chief Minister.
