Pahadishareef police on Friday nabbed five two-wheeler burglars involved in seven cases and seized six motorcycles and two mobile phones all worth Rs 2.72 lakh from the possession of the accused.

Hyderabad: Pahadishareef police on Friday nabbed five two-wheeler burglars involved in seven cases and seized six motorcycles and two mobile phones all worth Rs 2.72 lakh from the possession of the accused.

The accused persons were identified as Mohammad Shabaz (19), Mohammad Amir Pasha (20), Mohammad Asif (19), Mohammad Abbas (21) and Syed Arif (20).

According to police, on August 26 a complaint was lodged by one Esbar Ali in which he stated that on August 25 at 7:00 pm while he was proceeding towards Pahadishareef village from Jalpally village on his two wheeler, accused intercepted and extorted net cash of Rs 800, a mobile phone and his bike forcibly and fled from the spot.

Police registering a case under 384 IPC and took up investigation.
