We have launched Operation Muskaan with an aim to stop child labour in the district. Our teams will conduct regular checks and inspections in hotels, farms and other workplaces. If anyone found indulging in child labour, we will not spare them
Gadwal: Post the retirement of Gadwal SP Laxmi Nayak, the State government has appointed Wanaparthy SP Apoorva Rao as additional in-charge SP of Gadwal district on Monday.
As soon as Apoorva Rao took charge as SP Gadwal, she launched the programme Operation Muskaan aimed at eradicating child labour in the district. Speaking on the occasion, the SP said those employing child labour would be arrested and punished. "We have launched Operation Muskaan with an aim to stop child labour in the district. Our teams will conduct regular checks and inspections in hotels, farms and other workplaces. If anyone found indulging in child labour, we will not spare them," warned the SP. The SP said every child should go to school and not spend his valuable childhood by working in fields and hotels. She expressed her concern that the district was having large number of child labourers in the State and stressed on the need to eradicate this menace and urged all the officials from ICDS, CWC and child help line to work in coordination and make Operation Muskaan a grand success.
