GHMC polls: Politicos target opponents over Bhadradri neglect
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections are now turned around the Bhadradri Ramalayam
Khammam: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections are now turned around the Bhadradri Ramalayam.
Both the TRS and BJP were trying to gain sympathy from Hindus by referring to the injustice done to the Ramalayam. Bhadradri Ramalayam is the main weapon to the ruling party to catch Hindu votes in GHMC elections.
In order to demoralise the BJP in GHMC elections, the TRS is trying to bring up temple town submerging issue due to Polavaram project, which was allowed by the BJP government at the Centre. The TRS argued that the BJP had failed to obstruct the Polavaram project, which would submerge the Hindu temple Ramalayam in Bhadrachalam.
The ruling party leaders said the BJP has no commitment and sincerity on Hindus as a reason they are not obstructing Polavaram project dam height, which will submerge the Rama temple. TRS high command and leaders are trying to project the BJP as anti-Hindu among the GHMC voters. Already propaganda begun by the TRS through its media and other ways.
Meanwhile, BJP district president Galla Satyanarayana condemned the TRS campaign against his party and said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was against Lord Rama and temple development. He alleged that the TRS government and its Chief Minister KCR have violated the tradition that the CM should offer pattu vastralu and mutyala talambralu to Lord Rama during Kalyanam but KCR is not following this tradition for that last five years and also neglected temple development.
Galla informed that the TRS government had allotted Rs 100 crore budget for the temple development, but not released even a single paise during last six years. This clearly shows the TRS' interest on Lord Rama temple, he stated.
A senior TRS leader in the district said Chief Minister KCR had vision and developed Yadadri temple by investing crores of rupees. In the coming days, he will develop Lord Rama temple also with more funds as per his promises, he added. The BJP was playing cheap politics to attract Hindu votes in the GHMC elections, he alleged.
Both the parties are resorting to mudslinging at each other on temple issues. But locals and devotees alleged both parties did nothing to the temple and Bhadrachalam town and both of them are playing drama to gain Hindu votes in the upcoming GHMC elections.
