Goverment encourages players: Collector MRM Rao
District Collector MRM Rao called upon the players to develop their skills to excel at international sports.
Nizamabad: District Collector MRM Rao called upon the players to develop their skills to excel at international sports. He along with ZP chairman Vithal Rao, MLA Ghanesh Gupta and Mayor Akula Sujatha flagged off Olympic Run at Rajendra Nagar chowrasta here on Tuesday.
The Collector said that sports can bring mental tranquillity along with providing physical fitness, hence sports are being conducted in government schools and hostels. Soumya, Soundarya, Purna, Nikita, Zarine, Godavari, Sardar Hussain of Nizamabad district stood in the frontline in sports, he added.
Newly elected ZP chairman Vithal Rao said that children will be provided with an international standard of sports.
DSDO Krishna Rao lit the Olympic Jyoti. TNGO president Kishan Lingaiah, Rajender Reddy and others participated in the programme.
