Green Bhadradri takes up plantation drive in temple town
The members of Green Bhadradri organisation took up plantation drive in the temple town on Monday.
Bhadrachalam: The members of Green Bhadradri organisation took up plantation drive in the temple town on Monday.
The programme was launched by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation depot manager Srinivas Rao on the day. Speaking on the occasion, he hailed the services of the organisation and stated that to protect the environment more plants should be planted.
The official planted a sapling plant on the bus stand premises.
Green Bhadradri organisation president Golla Bhupathi Rao, speaking on the occasion, said they were planning to plant many saplings in the temple city and the donors have helped them in purchasing a variety plants for the purpose and identification of areas for planting the saplings.
"The goal of the organisation is to make Bhadradri a green space," said senior organiser Pallanti Desappa.
He said every year the organisation was planting saplings and this year too they were doing it on a large scale.
