Hanamkonda (Warangal-U): The result of Huzurnagar Assembly seat bypoll indicates that people are with the TRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said.

Speaking to the media persons here on Thursday, he said that TRS candidate S Saidi Reddy's one-sided victory over Congress' N Padmavathi was a huge blow to the Opposition parties. "Stop mudslinging against KCR. The leaders of Opposition parties have gone overboard in criticising the KCR government. They also instigated TRS activists. They also went on to criticise Telangana sentiment. But the people's verdict is a huge slap for the Opposition," Errabelli said.

Adding further, he stated that people are not ready to heed to the Opposition parties' accusations against KCR.

The Opposition also launched a tirade against KCR when the latter had to cancel his election campaign in Huzurnagar due to inclement weather conditions, he said. It's the victory of Telangana people, he said, referring to the TRS win in Huzurnagar Assembly seat by election.

Opposition needs to respect the people's verdict as the Huzurnagar was previously held by the Congress, Errabelli said. "TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy won Huzurnagar seat thrice and also worked as Minister. In fact, Uttam has commanded a good support in Huzurnagar. Despite this, people elected TRS candidate," he said.

He said that Prof Kodandaram and BJP leaders need to cooperate with the State government for the all round development of Telangana. Errabelli predicted results in the upcoming municipal polls will be same as Huzurnagar. He said that BJP needs to stop its criticism of the TRS government and focus on bringing funds from the Centre.

Government Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar was among others present when the TRS workers celebrated Huzurnagar victory by distributing sweets.
