Several employee unions greeted Prof K David, the Head of the Geology Department, who took over as the Principal of Kakatiya University (KU) recently, here on Monday.
Hanamkonda: Several employee unions greeted Prof K David, the Head of the Geology Department, who took over as the Principal of Kakatiya University (KU) recently, here on Monday.
The All India Universities Employees Confederation (AIUEC) vice-president Dr Pulla Srinivas said that Prof David's appointment would augur well for the students, who are predominantly poor.
Referring to the elevation of Prof David, who has 27 years of experience in the teaching and research fields, he thanked the in-charge Vice-Chancellor B Janardhan Reddy and other higher ups.
It may be mentioned here that Prof David had worked in different capacities such as Board of Studies, hostels joint director, sports board secretary, controller of examinations.
The SC/ST SDLCE Employees Union vice-president Dr Sangala Ephraim Raj, organising secretary B Prabhakar, Madiga Employees Association president Y Ravi Kumar, Technical Association vice-president Sunchu Balaji and Kakatiya Student Federation founder-president Manda Bhaskar were among others present.
