Keesara: Labour Minister CH Malla Reddy along with ZP Chairman Sharat Chandra Reddy and District Collector Vasam Venkateshwarlu held a review meeting on 6th phase of Haritha Haram programme with sarpanches, ZPTCs and MPTCs at Lalitha Gardens here on Tuesday.

He lauded Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on his able leadership and his foresight in making Telangana a green State. He called upon officials, people's representatives and people to take part and make the 6th phase of Haritha haram programme that will commence on June 25 a grand success. "Saplings should be planted at Vykuntadhams, dumping yards, government schools and farms in every village. Sarpanches and Panchayat secretaries should take the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness in villages," he added.

ZP Chairman Sharath Chandra Reddy called upon everyone to protect the planted saplings. Vasam Venkateshwarlu said the target for the district was to plant 62 lakh saplings. "There are 61 nurseries for 61 grampanchayats. Sarpanches and panchayat secretaries should ensure there were no illegal layouts and illegal constructions in their respective villages," he added.
