Hyderabad: Ahead of the election for DCCB chairmen posts in nine erstwhile districts on Feb 29, internal fight has erupted between ministers and senior TRS leaders to elect their followers in the key posts.

The TRS-supported candidates have won over 90 per cent of the PACS posts and the party would be getting majority of the DCCB chairmen posts. According to sources, the Rythu Samanvaya Samithi chief P Rajeshwar Reddy is promoting his followers for the post of chairmen of DCCB, which is one of the top posts in the districts.

Sources said that the Samithi chief wants DCCB posts to his followers in Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda districts. However, Ministers like E Dayakar Rao and G Jagadish Reddy and P Ajay are said to be unhappy with this move.

Party leaders said that there has been a cold war going on between Rajeshwar Reddy and Jagadish Reddy. During the Huzurnagar bypolls, the Rythu Samanvaya Samithi chief was made incharge for the elections neglecting Minister Jagadish Reddy.

Both these leaders gave counter statements on the dais during Rajeshwar Reddy took charge as Samithi chairman. Countering Jagadish Reddy's comments that he came to TRS after 2014, Rajeshwar Reddy said that though he joined TRS in 2014, he had completed whatever tasks the Chief Minister gave him.

Party leaders said that the stature of Rajeshwar Reddy has grown in the party as he has direct access to the Chief Minister. Some leaders said that he may be aspiring to contest as MLA from one of the three districts of Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda.

"Rajeshwar Reddy wants to have his own follower base as he may be willing to contest as MLA in future elections, hence he wants the post to be given to his followers," opined a TRS leader.

Party leaders said that in Warangal, while Dayakar Rao is pitching for M Ravinder Rao, Rajeshwar Reddy is lobbying for his follower G Rajeshwar Reddy. Similarly in Nalgonda, the Samithi chairman is trying for Palla Pravin Reddy whereas the Minister wants this post to S Mallesh Goud.

It is learnt that the Samithi chairman has convinced his party leadership to give the post to his followers. Rajeshwar Reddy has won from Khammam-Warangal-Nalgonda Graduates constituency.

Similarly, the party leaders want their followers to get the DCCB posts in their districts. There were similar reports also from the districts like Mahbubnagar and Adilabad where former Ministers and present Ministers want their followers to get the posts.
