Students of Maulana Azad National Urdu University staged a protest on Sunday night against the amendment of the citizenship act. Around 1500 students of MANUU came out on roads expressing solidarity with the Jamia Students amidst the clash between student and police in Delhi.

The students raised slogans against the NRC and BJP inside the university at midnight.

Though they protested throughout the day and the students again returned to university around 11.30 in the night in support of the Jamia students who were injured in the lathi-charge by the police in Delhi.

The MANUU students burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah at the university.

The students of Jamia Milia Islamia University protesting against the citizen amendment act. The situation worsened when the police entered the campus and fired teargas shells and resorted to lathi-charge at students.
