Nalkal mandal has become a major spot for illegal transportation. Gutka and ganja is being transported from Bidar to several places in Telangana including Hyderabad.
Zaheerabad: Nalkal mandal has become a major spot for illegal transportation. Gutka and ganja is being transported from Bidar to several places in Telangana including Hyderabad. Red stone and black stone are being smuggled from Ganeshpur and Nantabad in Nalkal mandal to Karnataka.
There are allegations that the culprits are carrying out their illegal activity with support of some leaders from the ruling party. It is also learnt police are registering cases only for name sake. People say they are clueless how miscreants are indulging in such brazen activity in the light of CCTV cameras installed on main roads.
The state government is suffering huge loss of revenue on account of illegal transportation of mineral wealth. Residents urge higher-ups to take steps to put an end to the illegal activities.
