Hyderabad: Suspense continues on the joining of former MP and Congress leader Vijayashanthi in BJP. According to the party sources, there are no conditions for her entry and that it has not given any specific assurance to her.

The delay could be that she wants to join BJP at an auspicious time/day. But there is clarify on one issue---the former actor will be joining the party in Delhi, in the presence of national president J P Nadda.

"Who are the other national leaders she will be meeting on the day of joining is not yet fixed.", the sources said. The delay is also from the party side, as no promises have been made to her. However, at the same time, BJP is said to be yet to figure out how and where her services are most needed.

Once these issues become clear, she is expected to join the party. Speaking to The Hans India, a party leader in the know of the goings-on said that no promises were made to her, as is the case with others who wish to join the party. Also, there was no discussion about her joining during the GHMC electioneering.

"As far as I know, she has to take a call on the same. Latest, she is likely to join on December 7 at Delhi in the presence of Nadda."

Another State party leader pointed out that she had expressed interest to join the party. However, there is no clarity on the date or time when she will be joining.

But, "she will be joining the party at Delhi. But, it is not yet clear, whether her joining would be in the presence of only Nadda, or will she be meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he added.

Further, the BJP has adopted an open-door policy to welcome key, senior and popular leaders from the Congress. But, at the same time it is not in a hurry, he added.
