Irate people protest with empty pots

Parigi: Residents of Baharpet Khan Colony staged protest on Hyderabad-Bijapur interstate highway in the afternoon on Thursday. Alleging that they have been not getting water for the past one month, they protested with empty pots. Leaders visited our colony several times during elections, but no one is bothered to know about our issues, they criticised.

Md Rafi, a resident, lamented that they have been facing acute shortage of water during holy month on Ramzan. "Already 20 days have passed in this Ramzan. After fasting, we have to scramble for water,'' he said. Officials arrived on the spot and assured them of resolving the issue.
