Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar announced 28 per cent share to Singreni workers in the profits made by the Singareni Collieries Company Limited during the financial year 2018-19 i.e, every worker would get Rs 1,00,899 as a bonus for Dasara festival.

"It Rs 40,530 high when compared to last year," said the chief minister speaking in the assembly. Last year the Singareni workers received 27 per cent profit.

"The production is coal is increasing every year and the workers' struggle cannot be described," said KCR.

"Singareni workers had been neglected during the previous government. They were given Rs 13,554 during the year 2013-14," added the chief minister. The Telangana government has been increasing the bonus for the last five years. In 2017-18, the government gave 27 per cent share in profits i.e, every worker got Rs 66,369.
