Khammam: Demanding waiver of electricity bills for the last three months in the State, CPM district leaders and activists staged a protest at Superintending Engineer, Operation Circle, TSNPDCL here on Friday. They displayed placards and raised anti-government slogans.

CPM district secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao appealed to the government to waive of current bills of the past three months as the people are unable to pay the bills, who are facing financial problems during lockdown.

He questioned the government how people could pay current bills as the government had paid only half salary to every employee and half pension to pensioners. He also demanded the government free power supply across the State during the present crisis.

CPM leaders Ponnam Venkateswara Rao, Y Srikanth, MA Jabbar, T Lingaiah, SKVA Meera Saheb, S Naveeen Reddy participated in the programme.
