Hyderabad: GHMC mayor Bonthu Rammohan has urged people not to be afraid of coronavirus as the government has been taking necessary measures to prevent spread of the virus. In a press note on Tuesday, the Mayor explained various measures being taken by the government to prevent spread of virus.
To create awareness on virus, pamphlets printed in Telugu and Urdu, explaining preventive measures to be taken, were being distributed in the city, he said. He advised people not to believe rumours being spread through social media. Frequent meetings were being conducted to review the situation by the ministers and the officials, on CM KCR's instructions, he said.
Chances of spreading virus in Telangana are minimal due to high temperatures, the Mayor said. He urged people to consult government doctors immediately if any symptoms of virus were observed and get the necessary treatment. Soon after identification of positive case, the state government had taken effective measures to prevent its spread, a special ward had been created for exclusively to treat Corona patients, he said. He assured that the state has modern medical facilities to handle the situation.
