Minister participates in Swachhta Hi Seva drive in Nirmal

Nirmal: Everyone should try to maintain his surroundings clean and green, said Forest and Environment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy addressing Swachh Hi Seva clean drive orgnised by the District Rural Development, Municipal Department in Nirmal town on Wednesday.

Minister Reddy along with District Collector M Prashanthi, Superintendent of Police C Shashidhar Raju swept the vegetable market premises near Gandhi Park and inspected the market premises.

The Minister interacted with the vegetable vendors and created awareness on cleanliness. He asked them not to throw plastic on roads and to avoid using plastic bags and use cotton bags instead. It is everyone's responsibility to sweep the plastic out of society as plastic is creating environment imbalance, he said.

District Library Chairman Rajender, District Collector Prashanthi, SP Shashidhar Raju, DSP Uppendar Reddy, DRDO Venkateshwarlu, TRS leaders Janardhan Reddy, Vajeed Ahamed, D Srinivas, Poshetty and others were present.
