Nagarkurnool: Stressing that the Class 10 students must focus on studies during the months of January and February, Nagarkurnool District Revenue Officer (DRO) Madhusudhan Nayak said that SSC board exams were the first hurdle for every student in their life and they should utilise these two months and work hard so that they pass out with flying colours.
Inspecting the Zilla Parishad High School in Nagarkurnool district headquarters on Thursday, the DRO interacted with the Class 10 students for more than an hour. The DRO spoke about the importance of SSC board exams and gave them suggestions and ideas to excel in the exams.
Earlier, Nayak while inspecting the classrooms asked the students if they were facing any problems and if so, he urged them to come openly. He also advised the students to discuss the subjects with their friends and fellow students so that it would help them gain better understanding of the subject. The DRO said that there are only two months left and they must lay their complete concentration on the studies and ensure that the ZPHS Nagarkurnool get cent per cent results in SSC public examinations.
The DRO also advised the teaching staff to conduct career guidance classes to the SSC students and asked them to specifically focus on the girl students. "Because of lack of proper guidance and no idea of future educational opportunities, many girl students are stopping their education after SSC. It is high time that the teaching faculty focus on girl students and guide them properly and also provide counselling to their parents and advise them to support their children for further studies," he said.
