District Additional SP Narmadha stated that police was striving hard to protect the women.
Nalgonda: District Additional SP Narmadha stated that police was striving hard to protect the women. She participated in Dial 100 awareness programme held under Devarakonda and Munugodu PS limits in the district on Tuesday.
Addressing the gathering, she advised that woman should dial 100 in critical times to protect themselves from eve teasers and attackers. Police teams would approach the spot within five minutes, as soon as they receive calls. Using patrolling cars, bluecoats, and other means, the department was addressing the issues faced by girls and women from time to time, she said.
Department has been utilising the available technology to extend all necessary help to women at the time of help, she added. The main motto of the programme was to explain the measures being taken by the police department for the safety of women in the State, she said.
