Narayanpet: A man from Narsapur village of Damargidda mandal of Narayanpet district was brutally murdered on Thursday.
According to Damargidda police, Narayana (26), brother of Narsapur Sarpanch, was earlier reported missing. However, on Thursday, he was reportedly found murdered in Yanagundi of Karnataka State.
It is said that the murder of Sarpanch's brother could be due to political rivalry as the victim had enmity with a few in the village. The police registered a case and took up the investigation.
Meanwhile, the police have taken all the necessary steps to ensure peace prevails in the village and deployed extra force to face any untoward incidents.
