Kothagudem: A furious District Collector Dr MV Reddy over the issue where district area hospital doctor declared a just born baby as dead, who is alive, appointed Kothagudem RDO Swarna Latha as the enquiry officer and ordered her to give a detailed report on the incident.

According to sources, 24-year-old Muthika Sunitha, a six-month pregnant woman of Chintur of Andhra Pradesh, on Friday was admitted in area hospital after she developed labour pains. Duty doctor after doing ultrasound test informed that the woman is carrying twins – a boy and a girl and the girl baby had already dead.

On Friday, doctors performed C-section and took out both the babies. However, the doctors informed that both the babies had died and handed over the babies covered in a body bag.
