Nizamabad: RTC should be incorporated in the government

Nizamabad: Declaring his full support to the RTC workers' strike, MP Dharmapuri Arvind said the workers should continue their fight till the RTC is incorporated with the government.

The MP met the RTC workers, who have been staging a protest in front of the Collectorate in Nizamabad on Friday and took the petition submitted by the workers on the occasion. He assured them of taking their issues to the attention of Union Home Minister.

Stating that the agitating RTC workers has the public sympathy, he urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to abandon hisdictatorial stance.

Arvind suggested KCR to try to solve the problems of the workers instead of hatching conspiracies to break their strike. He said the conspiracies to privatise the RTC should be stopped immediately.

The RTC workers handed over a petition to ZP Chairman Vittal Rao and the Urban MLA.

Earlier, they took out a rally from Dharna Chowrasta to Phullong Chowrasta and staged a protest at Ambedkar statue. They submitted a memorandum to Ambedkar statue and presents bouquets also.

JAC convener Bhaskar, New Democracy district leader Prabhakar, IFTU State president V Krishna, BLF Dandy Venkat, CPM district secretary Ramesh Babu, PYL Sudhakar, Gazetted Headmasters Association leader Sai, Narsaiah, Sanjeev, leaders of various political parties, public associations and others participated in the protest and rally.
