No need to worry about coronavirus: District Collector RV Karnan
A dedicated team of doctors monitoring the situation and an isolation war has been created in the government hospital in the district headquarters; labs and medicines are available to deal with the situation, says the Collector
Khammam: District Collector RV Karnan stated that no corona case reported in Khammam district and people do not need to worry as district administration has taken up all steps to prevent the spread of the deadly virus which has claimed thousands of lives world over.
On Saturday, he made surprised visit to the corona isolated ward in the hospital and interacted with staff and doctors there. Later speaking to the media, he appealed to the people that they should not believe in rumours spreading on social media. He said about 8 beds have arranged in the isolated ward and with 24 hours monitoring. He said a team of 12 doctors has been constituted to monitor the situation. Besides, medicines and microbiological lab are ready.
Rapid response team with 10 doctors have been set up in the hospital. He instructed the health officials to take elaborate steps to create awareness among the people about corona virus.
District Medical and Health Officer Dr Malathi, RMO Dr Srinivasa Rao and other doctors and staff were present.
