Nizamabad: District Collector MRM Rao has instructed the district officials to be vigilant during the monsoon season at a meeting at Pragati Bhavan here on Monday. He also told the agriculture authorities to make seeds and fertilisers available to the farmers as rains started in the district.

Responding to the Collector's statement, District Agriculture Officer Govind said that AOs and other divisional officers are already reviewing field-level reviews.

MRM Rao advised village panchayats and municipalities to take measures to keep the area clean and directed health department staff to monitor the prevalence of seasonal diseases. The irrigation authorities were told to take precautionary measures at ponds and tanks.

The welfare department officials were directed to take measures to prevent health problems for students staying in hostels.

Chiding the officials of revenue, excise, health and education departments for keeping several issues unsolved, the Collector warned them to hold a meeting on 26 June and find out the reasons as to why there are many unresolved issues.

Joint Collector Venkateswarlu, DRO Anjaiah, DRDA Ramesh Rathod, ZP CEO Venu and others present at the meeting.

Earlier, Collector MRM Rao participated in Grievance Cell programme at the Collectorate and received petitions from the people.
