Police should work towards enhancing the dignity of the police by providing quality police system, Superintendent of Police C Shashidhar Raju said while addressing grievance cell programme at District Police Office in Nirmal on Monday.

He received petitions from the people of different parts of the district and listened to their problems carefully. He discussed the issues with the police officers concerned and instructed them to clear the public problems immediately.
Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that police should be supportive to common people and to be friendly with them. Friendly policing is to help the people, to be answerable to the common man and to maintain law and order.
He pointed out that there is blatant legal action against those, who disrupt peace, and police should respond to the people's problems when they are needed.
He also wanted the people to inform to the police when they found anything suspicious, unknown persons, or anti-social elements in their surrounding areas through the mobile number 8333986939 or WhatsApp. Both the information and the informer's details and their phone numbers will not be revealed, the SP assured.
