Karimnagar: Telangana Rashtra Students Vedika (TRSV) District Coordinator Ponnam Ravi Kumar Goud appealed the management of private schools to charge affordable fees keeping in view the future of poor children.
Speaking at a press meet here on Thursday, Ravi Kumar Goud said the management of private schools and colleges must follow rules and regulations issued by the State Education Department and should collect fee without violating them.
If any private school or college collects more fee than prescribed from students in the name of tie, belt, batch, books and uniforms, the issue would be taken to the notice of local MLA, MP, Ministers and the Chief Minister so that severe actions will be taken against them, he warned.
Some of the institutions are collecting huge amounts of money in the name of admission fee and tuition fee and are conducting entrance tests, which should be stopped immediately, he added.
Ravi Kumar Goud asked the officials to issue caste, income and local certificates to the students as early as possible without delay as it would be helpful for the students to seek admissions in higher educational institutions.
It is learnt that a few nursing colleges are collecting Rs 50,000 from students in the name of project reports. The issue will be taken to the notice of higher officials concerned so that they could take necessary action against such colleges, he said.
