Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police came with a new initiative of creating awareness about the ongoing pandemic of Coronavirus.
The initiative began at LB Nagar X roads on Thursday, wherein the Traffic Inspector and other on-duty constables stood on the road when the signal turned red and the Inspector started explaining the motorists about the steps to be taken to prevent the deadly virus.
Traffic inspector K Nagamallu, while interacting with the media, said that the initiative was taken up after receiving instructions from the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mahesh Bhagwat and other officials.
He further added that when he gave the instructions to clean hands and to safeguard health from the virus, lot of motorists approached him and thanked the police for creating awareness in such a manner.
The act of the traffic cop was also noticed by TRS working president KT Rama Rao, who later on tweeted with a caption, "Well done".
