Malkajgiri: Every day, transactions worth crores of rupees are taking place at the Sub-Registrar's office located at Vajpayee Nagar in the Vinayak Nagar division but the officials concerned are turning a blind eye in putting the premises under strict surveillance.

Hundreds of people visit the office carrying lakhs of rupees for purchase of lands or for making registrations.

The officials here inform the people about the amount that they have to pay for land registrations.

Some people who visit the office keep their money inside their vehicles.

There were instances where money kept in vehicles was stolen by the time the owner of vehicle returned from the office.

Close circuit TV footage will help cops resolve such theft cases.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Monday, Naresh, a document writer, said that CC cameras were installed in the office last year for recording the transaction inside the office and the officials also made a promise to install cc cameras outside as well, but their promises remained unfulfilled so far.

It is time the government pays attention towards security of places where such high-volume transactions take place, said one of the persons, who came to the office to register his land.
