Teenager commits suicide after being chided for playing PUBG in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Depressed after being chided for playing PUBG by the mother, a 14-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling here at Jalpally area in Pahadishareef on Tuesday.

Getting into details, the boy was chided by his mother for getting addicted to the game and playing for hours. Feeling distressed, the boy went to his room and hanged himself from the ceiling fan. Since there was no response from him after repeatedly knocking the door, the boy's parents broke the door and found their son hanging.

The police were informed to shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem. They registered a case and launched an investigation.

In a similar case, a 13-year-old boy jumped from the 11th floor of the building after his parents chided him for playing PUBG and snatched the phone. The incident occurred at an apartment in Khanamet in the city.

It is learned that the boy was playing PUBG neglecting his food for which he was scolded. The boy was depressed after his mother snatched the phone and jumped from the 11th floor of their apartment building. He was immediately shifted to the nearby hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctors.
