Telangana bags two prestigious awards for tourism

'I explore Telangana', the mobile-based app has bagged the national award for providing information for tourists about available healthcare services, public amenities and important helpline numbers. While the Apollo Hospitals have achieved the award under 'best medical tourism'.
The awards were presented by the vice president Venkaiah Naidu, UNWTO secretary-general Zurab Pololikashvili, minister for tourism Prahlad Singh Patel at Vignan Bhavan in New Delhi.
'I explore Telangana' has been developed by the Department of Telangana Tourism linking to social media. Meanwhile, Apollo Hospitals which is the first corporate hospital to provide modern healthcare services in the country has bagged the award in the best medical tourism category.
