Telangana CS Somesh Kumar swings into action, helps physically challenged person

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar's swift action gave a big relief to a physically challenged person. On the instruction of the Chief Secretary, the authorities issued a medical certificate on spot to avail the Aasra pension to Imtiaz who has been waiting for pension under the Aasra scheme.

The Hans India has published on December 3 (on the occasion of International Day of Disabled Persons) a story highlighting the plight of Imtiaz to get the pension from the government.

On knowing the struggle being faced by the physically challenged, Somesh Kumar instructed the Secretary Rural Development Sandeep Kumar Sultania and Rangareddy District Collector Amoy Kumar to address the grievance of Imtiaz on a priority basis.

The officials arranged medical tests in a government hospital and issued a medical certificate to apply for pension. The Rural Development department officials were taking steps fast to provide pension to the person at the earliest.
