"When there is no Telangana six years ago, how could it had a surplus budget?" said Rao. This year budget has been prepared after consulting experts from the financial sector, he said adding that the state has got a much better budget compared to others.

He also said that the Congress party have cheated Telangana with the Polavaram project proposal which would submerge vast areas of the state. The chief minister also recalled that they have allocated 100 tmc water to Khammam district.

"With the Mission Kakatiya, around 27,000 lakes were filled under TRS government," said Rao.
