Bonalu being the State Festival of Telangana, it will be celebrated in a gala way every year. But this year, as Covid-19 virus is still rapidly spreading in the country, the Government has decided to advice people to celebrate in normally at their homes itself. As this pandemic has entered into the country in the March itself, people celebrated festivals like Sri Rama Navami, Ramzan, Good Friday, Ugadi in their condos itself maintaining the social distance.

Bonalu festival brings a gleam to the July month as it is celebrated in different areas of Hyderabad. Staring from Old City to Musheerabad, people lift their 'Bonams' and offer pooja's and prasadams to the Goddess and celebrate this State festival in a gala manner.

Well, keeping the rapid spread of Corona in mind, the Government of Telangana released a set of guidelines… Have a look!

• The Bonalu festival will begin on 25th June @ Golconda area.

• Only 10 members are allowed in each parade.

• Keeping the traditions in mind and to carry it forward in a hassle-free manner, Government officials will only offer 'Pattu Vastralu' in all the temples which celebrate Bonalu festival.

• Only priests in the temples will be allowed to offer 'Bonam' to the Goddess Durga.

• In order to make the people witness the parades and celebrations of Bonalu Festival, Government will go with a 'Live TV' option.

• Strictly people are advised to offer their prasadams and vows made by them to God in their homes itself.
