With the rise in the number of coronavirus positive cases for the last few days, the Telangana government has restricted the entry of people from three states.
Telangana: With the rise in the number of coronavirus positive cases for the last few days, the Telangana government has restricted the entry of people from three states. The government directed the officials not to allow the people coming to the state from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
The government has also stopped issuing passes to the people who want to return to Telangana for the last three days. It ordered the officials not to issue passes until the government asks to do.
Maharashtra is on the top of the list with the highest number of positive cases of coronavirus. There are around 30,706 confirmed cases in the state with 1,135 fatalities. The state is followed by Gujarat with 10,989 confirmed cases and the total deaths were 625. Though the neighbouring state Andhra Pradesh is seeing a rise in cases, the death toll is lower than other states. However, the Telangana government restricted the entry of people from AP.
A few days before, the government allowed the people from AP who were screened at the checkpost. And those with coronavirus symptoms were made to return AP with the 14-day home quarantine stamp.
