The Telangana police department has issued a key warning to the people of the state in view of the heavy rains in the wake of cyclone Gulab. The police had advised people not to come out unless urgent and inland residents need to be vigilant. The police have suggested the people dial 100 if anyone is in danger.

Meanwhile, the GHMC officials became alert in the wake of heavy rains and precautions are being taken. A control room has been set up in the Collectorate with the Hyderabad authorities. On the other hand, Hyderabad, Mahabubabad, Karimnagar, Jagityal, Peddapalli, Siddipet, Khammam, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Sangareddy, Medak, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Suryapeta, Adilabad, and Mancherial districts are likely to receive rains.

Currently, NDRF teams are available in Warangal, Hyderabad and Kothagudem and district Collectors were ordered to appoint special officers in each mandal to prevent loss of life and property.
