The State government on Monday created two more divisions- Jogipet and Vemuawada in Sangareddy and Rajanna Siricilla districts respectively for administrative convenience.

Hyderabad: The State government on Monday created two more divisions- Jogipet and Vemuawada in Sangareddy and Rajanna Siricilla districts respectively for administrative convenience.

With that the number of revenue divisions in Telangana State will go up to 73 from the present 71. Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar issued preliminary notification for the creation of the two revenue divisions and instructed the district authorities to seek public opinion before the issuance of Gazette notification.

Five mandals of Andole, Pulkal, Vatpallyu and Chowtakur will come under the purview of the newly proposed Jogipet revenue division. Vemulawada division will cover Vemulawada, Vemulawada ( rural), Chandurthi, Boinpalli, Konaraopet and Rudrangi mandals.
