A thief who arrived in a village to burgle the houses was brutally attacked by the people and succumbed to serious head injuries on Saturday in Nizamabad.
The deceased was identified as Kethavath Raju, a native of Shankora village of Varni mandal in Nizamabad district. The police registered a case and an investigation is underway.
On the contrary, a woman was killed by the burglars in Hyderabad who attacked her to hand over gold and cash in the house. She was strangulated when she tried to raise alarm. The deceased was identified as Arundathi.
