Bowenpally: Around 200 TRS party members led by Venkatkanth Patel of Bowenpally joined BJP in the presence of BJP state president Dr K Lakshman at a programme organised on Sunday. Vivek was also present.
Dr Lakshman expressed his happiness over TRS members joining the party attracted by developmental works being done by PM Modi. Hundreds joined the party desiring change in Hasmathpet politics, he said. He announced that more people from ruling party were expected to join the party in coming days.
Criticising the recently tabled state budget proposals, he said that the actual expenses varied from that shown in budget from last six years. Most of the proposals were against the election promises.
Referring to the CM comments that he too did not have birth certificate, Dr Lakshman said that birth certificate had no relation to the CAA Act, as it was not mandatory. The state government's act of opposing the bills passed by the central government was against democratic principles, he added. On the occasion of International Women's Day, Dr Lakshman cut the cake in the presence of women leaders of the party and extended greetings.
