According to sources, the bridegroom, Kasparaju Nagaraju, of Tekumatla village of Suryapet mandal was to wed Nirmala on Friday, that day that coincided with the second phase of Parishad polls in the district.

Being a responsible citizen of the society, Nagaraju cast his vote at the polling booth in the village before leaving for the wedding venue.

Meanwhile, many of the villagers lauded Nagaraju for his act and suggested everyone to take their voting rights seriously and taking part in nation's building by exercising their voting right.
