Tirumalagiri (by-poll): Minister for Tribal Welfare and Child and Women Development Satyavathi Rathod stated that the State government's welfare schemes will help the Telangana Rashtra Samithi win Huzurnagar Assembly by-poll with a record majority.

Addressing the media at Tonda village of Tirumalagiri mandal in the district on Wednesday, she said the welfare schemes conceptualized by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has helped the TRS retain power in the State for the second time.

She urged the people of Huzurnagar to pave way for the development of constituency by supporting TRS in bypoll, slated to be held on October 21.

Stating that TRS candidate Saidi Reddy lost the election with slight majority in 2018 Assembly elections, she informed that she would campaign in Huzurnagar after getting a nod from the Chief Minister.

She described Congress as a party of quarrels and group politics, the Minister added that Congress top leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy and Revanth Reddy were expressing different views on every issue for their political existence.

Mahabubabad Zilla Parishad Chairman Bindu, Tribal Welfare Corporation Chairman Gandhi Naik, N Suresh Rao, Jayaveer and others participated in the press meet.
