Woman commits suicide over dowry harassment

A 31-year-old woman committed suicide in Barkatpura on Tuesday early over the harassment for additional dowry by her in-laws.
Hyderabad: A 31-year-old woman committed suicide in Barkatpura on Tuesday early over the harassment for additional dowry by her in-laws.
According to police, the woman identified as Gauthami (31) was married to one Madhukar (40) on July 1, 2018.
After few days of the marriage, Madhukar, his mother and his sister, all three started harassing Gauthami for additional dowry and also took away all the salary of Gauthami.
On Sunday, Madhukar, his sister and mother went to Gauthami's parents house and had an brawl with Gauthami and her parents. Due to which she was depressed and took extreme step.
Police registered a case under section 304 B IPC and took up investigation. Efforts are on to nab the absconding accused persons.
