Palvoncha (Kothagudem): A youngster was brutally murdered in the district on Thursday late night.
According to sources, Siva Reddy, a resident of Telangana Nagar, has been in love with the sister of Mohammed Shakeel (20), the deceased youth, who also lives in the same locality in Palvoncha. Shakeel some time ago said to have cautioned Siva Reddy to stay away from his sister.
On Thursday late night, they both entered into an altercation during which Siva Reddy allegedly killed Shakeel by inflicting critical injuries on his neck and other parts of the body.
Circle Inspector M Ramesh and staff visited the spot. They registered a case against the accused Siva Reddy and took up the investigation.
