Kakinada: Children's Day celebrations were held on a grand scale at the Bal Bhavan, Gandhinagar Municipal Children's Park here on Thursday.
The celebrations started by Bal Bhavan Superintendent A Sharada. Bal Bhavan Mrudamgam Master Varanasi Srinivasa Rao organised 'Dashavatara Mrudamga Sammelanam' on the occasion.
He said that this type of event was conducted for first time in entire state. Dashavatara refers to 10 primary avatars of Lord Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation. Bal Bhavan Superintendent Sharada said that students should develop leadership qualities. District level children's cultural talent competitions were conducted at Bal Bhavan. Many of the students participated and they showed excellent performance.
