Rajamahendravaram: Election Commission has made necessary arrangements for conducting East and West Godavari districts Graduate MLC elections scheduled to be held here on Friday. As many as 47 candidates are in the fray from the two districts.
At about 2,93,794 graduate voters will exercise their franchise in the elections. A total of 332 polling stations were arranged for the elections of them 193 polling stations in East Godavari and 139 polling stations in West Godavari district.
As many as 55 deputy superintendent of police, 55 inspectors and 185 sub-inspectors were deployed for bundobust duties. Meanwhile, election observer JSV Prasad inspected the arrangements at government college here on Thursday.
