Nellore: Minister for Water Resources Dr P Anil Kumar Yadav said 93 vehicles have been allocated to Nellore.
He formally launched the new 108, and 104 services at the ACSR Stadium in the city on Thursday and said the vehicles were first introduced by former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and due to various reasons, they have been kept idle for the last 10 years.
He said the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had provided 1,068 vehicles with modifications in single go to the state for meeting the demand of medical services. Many such vehicles have now been equipped with life-supporting equipment, ventilators, and others.
The Minister said 69 vehicles have already reached the city and the rest of the vehicles would be provided shortly. District Collector MV Seshagiri Babu, Rural MLA K Sridhar Reddy, Udayagiri MLA M Chandrasekhar Reddy, ZP CEO P Suseela, DM&HO Dr G Rajyalakshmi, and others were present.
