Disrespect to Latchanna exposes Jagan's anti-BC attitude, says TDP MLA Anagani Satya Prasad

Amaravati : Telugu Desam Party MLA Anagani Satya Prasad on Friday strongly criticised the YSRCP ministers for passing needless comments on the 'Sardar' Gouthu Latchanna statue in total disregard for the big legacy left by the BC leader in the State.

Satya Prasad termed it as atrocious on the part of minister Appala Raju to say that the Latchanna statue would be removed. The ruling party leaders were daring to make such unwarranted and meaningless remarks only out of greed for power, arrogance and frustration.

In a statement here, the TDP MLA asserted that it was not in front of the banks that the YSRCP activists should dump garbage but they should leave it in front of the houses of the ministers who were speaking disrespectfully towards a BC stalwart leader like Latchanna. This incident exposed the Chief Minister's anti-BC policy.

The government had cut lots of funds for the welfare and development programmes meant for the backward classes. An empty hand was shown to the BC communities from day one of the Jagan misrule.

Satya Prasad demanded that minister Sidiri Appala Raju should withdraw his comments that were made on freedom fighter Gouthu Latchanna statue. The owner of the site, Papa Rao, had admitted that there was no dispute over the location of the statue. But still, the minister was telling blatant lies and falsehoods with no regard for public decorum. There would be serious repercussions, if the minister lays his hand on the statue.

Satya Prasad asked why Jagan was not responding with respect to the issues of the BC leaders' statues while he had immediately responded on the YSR statues in the past.

As per the National Crime Records Bureau, the atrocities on the BC, SC, ST and Muslim minorities had gone up in Andhra Pradesh. The Opposition leaders and all dissenting voices were being implicated in false cases and the government was making false cases against them.
